Attention: Car Pick-Up Parents/Guardians
Beginning Monday, August 12, 2019, the afternoon car pick-up procedure at Highland will be changing. Drivers will stay in their vehicle and proceed through the car line that enters campus from Campground Rd. Students will exit the building when called to board their car. There will no longer be “walk-ups” to pick-up students from the northwest entrance. We believe this change will actually speed up the pick-up process, and it will certainly make things safer. Thank you for your cooperation in this transition to our new procedure. Dear Highland Families: For the past two years, we have been involved with supporting the EVSC Foundation’s student clothing resource, “Hangers.” Hangers helps students in need—those affected by homelessness, house fires, poverty, a foster care transition, or any other difficult circumstance. At any given time, any of us may need a helping hand. That’s exactly what Hangers does: it gives young people a helping hand so they can focus on their education. This year we are participating as celebrity scoopers again to help clothe the 2,400+ students Hangers serves each year. We are asking you to please help us raise funds by donating to our ice cream tip jar. You can stop by the office at Highland to make a contribution, come out to Baskin Robbins from 4:30-5:00 pm on Thursday, September 12th during our shift, or make an online donation at https://evscfoundation.org/give-today/ (be sure to note our names in the memo line). Attached is our flier and a link to learn more about the incredible impact that Hangers makes for our community’s young people. Please share, and let's “scoop for students!” Thanks, Martin Brown Martin Brown – Principal Kelly York Kelly York – Assistant Principal Monday, Aug. 12- Tuesday, Aug. 13- Wednesday, Aug 14- Thursday, Aug 15- Friday, Aug 16- 5:00-8:00 p.m. Back to School Bash!
