Highland Families,
Now that we’ve completed our virtual work, we can focus on returning student belongings as well as students returning materials that belong to Highland. Here is what we are thinking: ● Parents may come anytime between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on Monday, May 18th or Tuesday, May 19th. ● Parents will pull into the Highland parking lot and follow the “parent pick up” route. ● Please have your dash tag ready (If you do not have a dash tag, you can find directions at the bottom of this document on how to create one). ● A Highland staff member will be stationed on the north side of the building waiting to read your dash tag - someone inside will gather all of your child(ren)’s belongings (including a yearbook, if they ordered one, and spring pictures) and place them in a holding area. ● As you continue pulling forward, there will be TWO locations to pick up: ○ The first location (cafe) will be for grades K and 1. ■ If you do not have a child in these grade levels, continue moving forward ○ The second location (gym) will be for grades 2-5. ■ If you do not have a child in these grade levels, continue moving forward ● A Highland staff member will be stationed at each location and will deliver the materials to your car. ● Somewhere along the route, there will be a staff member collecting supplies that belong to Highland - please have those ready as you proceed through the line. (Ex. Library books, text books, instruments, etc., Moana scripts for grades 4 and 5) ● As you move forward to exit the parking lot, depending on traffic, we will have another Highland staff member directing traffic. If there is a time where we are backed up, we may need to ask you to turn right out of Highland’s parking lot. We apologize in advance for this. We are just hoping to make this as seamless as possible. In order to follow social distancing guidelines, we ask that you remain in your car at all times. We look forward to seeing each of you on Monday or Tuesday! Dash Tag: ● On a full sheet of paper, PRINT the following (using black marker) ○ EACH Child’s first and last name ○ Grade level ○ Homeroom Teacher You should also be receiving an email (in the near future) from your child’s current teacher letting you know who your child will have next year as their teacher. Thank you - and have a wonderful week! Mr. Brown and Ms. York

Good evening Highland Families. On Monday, May 11 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m, we will be accepting donations at Highland to donate to Another Chance for Animals in memory of Highland student Dahni Shanafelt. Items for donation have been designated for certain grade levels on Highland's Face Book page. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Please help us remember Dahni and her love for animals. Have a good evening.
