To help students understand their grade, I am giving the students a grade report for each class. The students will recieve a report for Math and Social Studies on Monday. In Math, the grade report will not include the today's assesssment. On Wednesday, the students will recieve a grade report for Science. The grade reports are a snapshot of their grade. The students will still have assignements added to their grade this week. I am hoping the reports encourage students to complete missing asignments before the Friday deadline.
In January, teacher emails will transition to a gmail account (@evsck12.com) from the outlook account (@evsc.k12.in.us). At the moment, the emails from outlook are automatically forwarded to our gmail account. I updated the email on the Contact page to the new email ([email protected]).
I also am starting an extending eduction page on this website. The page includes links to websites, apps, and so on that are educational and free, if possible. Many of the sites allow students to use their google accounts to login. At the moment, the page includes links for learning a language, keyboarding, coding, and general information. I encourage you and your students to use the sites to learn new topics. If you have a suggestion for site, app, and so on, please sent the idea to [email protected]. The end of the grading period is approaching fast. The cut-off for turning in missing assignments is Friday, December 16th. I highly recommend checking RDS and encouraging students to complete missing assignments. I will not accept missing assignments after I leave on Friday, December 16th. This also includes students who are absent on Friday.
The Math Assessment over decimals (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) has been moved to Monday, December 12th. The change allows students more time to prepare for the test.
I will begin collecting notebooks for Social Studies, Math, and Science. The schedule is as follows:
Social Studies (Jorgensen HR): Tuesday, December 7th Math (Jorgensen/Lombard HR): Thursday, December 8th Science (Jorgensen/Lombard HR): Monday, December 12th For a complete listing of items in each notebook, you can find copies of each notebook under the menu bar, located in the upper left-hand corner. I added three pages with images of the class notebooks for Social Studies, Math, and Science. You can click on the thumbnails for a larger image. Starting next week, I will begin collecting and grading notebooks. I will start with the notebook for Social Studies.
